One of the main features that sets Sticky Notes apart from other sticky note apps is the fact that a reminder system is tied into the app. The app just makes it possible for users to make sticky notes. There are no complicated settings to get in the way. The app offers Mac users a very clean, no-fuss option for digital stick notes that stick to your desktop wallpaper.

Sticky Notes was designed to provide a simple desktop sticky note for Mac users. Sticky Notes – Post-it notes (Sticky Notes for short) is a newly released app by Pawan Dixit, an app developer who has been programming for around five years. This is where Sticky Notes Post-it notes for Mac come into play. The only problem with these digital sticky notes is that I sometimes forget about them. It’s super handy to be able to jot down notes as they come up and be able to review them throughout the day. It was both wasteful and useful at the same time.įortunately, I did switch to a digital format and started using Stickies on a regular basis. Once that task was done, I would throw the note away. A single task would get written on a sticky note. I’m one of those people who used to decorate their monitor with physical yellow Post-it notes to remember tasks that needed to get done. I’ve been an Apple user for many, many years and one of the first apps I used religiously was Stickies. Sticky Notes is a promising app that needs some work to be functional. Even though the premise of this app is to have something simple and free of complicated settings/preferences, it would be nice if some sort of settings were available.

So, as soon as that update is live, the reminder should appear at the time it is set for rather than 5 minutes before. Because of this review, the developer has pushed out an update to the App Store that removes this 5-minute limit. After re-testing for longer than 5 minutes, the banner did appear when it was supposed to. So, in the case of our test that we mentioned, the timing was not set ahead far enough in the future for the notification to appear. Additionally, we found out from the developer that the reminder will popup 5 minutes before the time that it is set for. Otherwise, the notification banner will simply open in the Notification Center, but not slide across the screen. UPDATE: In regards to the reminder feature of Sticky Notes, the user needs to make sure that “Automatically hide and show the Dock” is not selected in the System Preferences > Dock & Menu Bar.
